In accordance with the Light House Foundation's guidelines regarding new logos for CMITN and CMITS Schools in the Prince George's County area, all sales of CMITN and CMITS uniforms featuring the ORIGINAL LOGO are final and cannot be refunded or returned. The Light House Foundation has confirmed that students may continue to wear uniforms with the ORIGINAL LOGO to school until they are no longer usable. While we will continue to sell uniforms with the ORIGINAL LOGO, please note that we will not produce any additional uniforms with this logo once current stock is sold out, and we will transition to the new designs.

Message To Our Online Costumers

I’m sure you all are aware of President Trumps negotiations with other countries with regard to tariffs. These increased tariffs are causing our uniform suppliers to raise their prices to cover unexpected additional expenses!

 

It’s a bit unusual on how they are increasing their prices. Uniform suppliers are keeping their unit prices to us the same but decided to add a line item of “tariff expenses” for 10% to cover their additional expenses for each invoice they ship to us. In general, if they ship us a 10,000.00 order of assorted uniform parts, the invoice will have a tariff charge of 1,000.00 making the total invoice of 11,000.00!

 

I’ve held of raising our prices up until now in hopes the tariff wars would be settled and go away. However, that hasn’t happened and the situation seems to be getting more complicated. As a small business, I’m unable to absorb these additional expenses. Over the last month, I’ve noticed other businesses raising their retail prices. I will need to do the same until the tariff charges fad away or something changes.

 

NOTICE – on Saturday 7/19/25 we will be raising our prices in a similar way as our uniform suppliers. We will keep all product unit prices the same in the AAW retail store and on our website. However, we will be adding a line item to every customer order which will read “Tariff Recovery Charge”. The recovery charge will be 6% added to each customer order. EXAMPLE – if a customer places a 500.00 order for assorted goods, the total will include a 30.00 tariff recovery charge along with the MD State tax of 30.00 making the total sale of 560.00 at checkout.
